Met with Claire from Pivot Ministries to discuss her TA request. Claire discussed the faith based treatment/ sober living program that she had recently become involved with. She stated that the program has integrated program graduates as leaders for those entering sobriety in the program. However, the program graduates have traditionally not been offiicially trained as PRSS and she would like to learn more about training opportunities and structure.

Met with CHJ-TASC to discuss ways in which we could collaborate. Discussed liaison from Altarum continuing to attend CHJ-TASC office hours for their grantees. Also discussed collaborating on a publication. Brainstormed ideas for the publication and decided on peers integrated in police departments, including best practices and case studies.

Met with members of the Altarum TTAC team to discuss Puerto Rico ASSMCA TTA to date and how to provide further assistance. Developed questions to ask the Puerto Rico team for follow up and discussed resources that could be provided to them. Reached out to the ASSMCA team to ask when they would like to meet next.

The advisory group meets quarterly to give feedback to the TTAC and discuss hot topics or needs of the community who work in the SUD area of criminal justice including peer support and Access to care.

One way to promote a drug free community is to create more awareness of the issue within the community. During this presentation, attendees will learn about opiates and methamphetamines which have gained in popularity and negatively impacted our tribal communities. They will learn how drug abuse is affecting youth, to recognize behaviors that are associated with abuse, and what medical responses are necessary.

This webinar explores the critical challenges faced by tribal populations during the post-incarcerationand post-treatment reentry and reintegration process. We will examine issues such as culturaldisconnection, limited access to resources, systemic discrimination and stigma, substance usedisorders (SUDs), co-occurring mental health issues, and other significant barriers.Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the definition of successful reentry and reintegration,its key components, and the benefits it can bring to tribal communities.
