The PDMP TTAC Website www.pdmpassist.org is sent through the listserv. The target audience is PDMP Administrators’ and agencies or organizations interested in issues related to the effective use of PDMPs to curb prescription drug misuse and abuse. The May Newsletter Volume 7, Issue 3 highlighted the following topics ADHD and Doctor Shopping and State Action to Prevent and Treat Prescription Drug Abuse.We have also added a Treatment/Prevention Corner and a new section on the latest PDMP Legislation to the newsletters.

The January Newsletter Volume 7, Issue 1 focus was on Research on Doctor Deception: The Journal of the American Board of Family Medicine published study, “Deception for Drugs: Self-Reported ‘Doctor Shopping’ Among Young Adults”.

Our primary activity is the ongoing provision of Training and Technical Assistance to functioning PDMPs, newly legislated PDMPs, Indian Health Services, Federal partners and others interested in issues related to PDMPs. This is primarily done by responding to requests submitted by PDMPs, federal partners and other stakeholders by email, through our website, or over the phone. During this time period, TTAC handled 231 requests for assistance.
