To provide more information on their Body-Worn Camera Policy and Implementation (BWC PIP) 2020 Competitive Solicitation, the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) is presenting the webinar
The Westwood, Kansas Police Department requested information on grant funding opportunities around body-worn camera technology. BJA NTTAC provided the requestor with a list of providers that offer implicit bias training and also referred the requestor to CNA.
BJA NTTAC will pay for travel expenses for six presenters for the International Association of Chiefs of Police's annual conference in Chicago, IL. The presenters will conduct the following workshops: Ending Modern Day Slavery: Best Practices for Law Enforcement in the Fight Against Human Trafficking; Improving Policing Using Body-Worn Cameras and Video Analytics; and Addressing Elder Abuse in Your Community.
BJA NTTAC will support travel expenses to send a body-worn camera SME to speak at the Alaska Association of Chiefs of Police's HOT Topics Training Conference. This engagement is associated with the Body-Worn Camera Speakers Bureau.
On December 10 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. EST, the Smart Policing Initiative (SPI) will present a webinar titled “The Impact of Body Worn Cameras: The Phoenix SPI”. This webinar will be co-presented by Commander Michael Kurtenbach of the Phoenix Police Department and Dr. Charles Katz from Arizona State University (ASU).
