Draft TTA action plan based on assessment results and introductory meetings
IIR Program staff members hosted a BJA-sponsored joint solicitation webinar on June 13, 2024. This webinar provided a detailed overview of FY2024 Shepard/Byrd, Community-based Approaches, and Emmett Till solicitations. A total of 37 individuals participated in the webinar.
TLPI had a Tribal TTA providers meeting with BJA, Tribal Judicial Institute (TJI) at UND, NTJC/NJC, NCJTC, and RurAL Cap on April 23, 2024 to discuss the 2025 American Indian Justice Conference. Potential dates are (May or June 2025). Potential locations nad bidding process discussed . Potential site is Sky Ute in Ignacio, CO.
TLPI has monthly calls/outreach with Tribal Judicial Institute (TJI) at UND and National American Indian Court Judges Association (NAICJA), as sub awardees on this award, to discuss grantee TTA, TTA workplans, and TA reports, and additional award deliverables. TLPI also has monthly check in with CJI to discuss resources to be add to TribalJustice.org.
TLPI supported a statewide conference/meeting by presenting a workshop titled “Joint Jurisdiction Courts 101: An Overview” on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at the 2024 Arizona Association of Drug Court Professionals Annual Treatment Court Conference in Prescott, AZ ( Task 3.3). TLPI will continue to offer conference presentations and support statewide meetings, as feasible (Task 3.2-3.3).
