The Building Bridges Virtual Orientation introduced key stakeholders, outlined the initiative’s goals and expectations, and provided insight into treating substance use disorder in jails. Subject matter experts and coaches shared their expertise, followed by a discussion with Building Bridges alumni to offer real-world perspectives. The meeting will conclude with a Q&A session and a review of next steps.

Selected sites receive intensive training and technical assistance to support the implementation of medication-assisted treatment (MAT). In November, five calls were conducted with five participating sites to provide guidance and assistance.

This is part of a monthly program for lawyers engaged in post-conviction innocence work, both prosecutors and defense lawyers.
