Requested training on Massage Parlor Human Trafficking. Training not completed due to request not being approved by BJA, since the site still has not met all of the requirements to get their funding cleared.
One-day training for local law enforcement and prosecutors on DV-related trauma, state and local partnerships, and improved prosecution; goal is better attendee understanding of these issues that can be taken back home and employed in south central PSN team DV reduction strategies.
The Ohio-N PSN site is experiencing issues with victim and witness intimidation and wants to host an initial meeting in late-February. We have confirmed February 21st at the training date with a training length of 90 minutes. The initial training will provide law enforcement with an overview of victim-witness intimidation and provide a victim-centered approach to interviewing and responding to witnesses. Further, the site requested an additional training later in the year in which these topics will be discussed in significant detail over a one to two day training.

The Arc's National Center on Criminal Justice and Disability has developed a day-long training on I/DD to complement standard 40-hour CIT trainings, as these typically focus on mental illness. The Metropolitan Police Department expressed interest in receiving advanced I/DD training and agreed to serve as a pilot site for this module. The training highlights differences between responses involving mental illness and those involving developmental disabilities, and why it's important to understand this difference in a law enforcement context.
The Leon County, Florida Sheriff's Office requested a crime analysis assessment. OnPoint Analytics was selected to fulfill the request and conducted an assessment between September 2019 and November 2019. OnPoint Analytics delivered a findings and recommendations report, along with a final report outlining next steps, to the Leon County Sheriff's Office in November 2019.
