PERF is providing key stakeholders in Cambridge, including the police department, health department and prosecutor's office, with technical assistance to support them in implementing the following two DOJ Roadmap's essential actions: creating a citywide plan for engaging key people and places, and addressing key locations using place-based policing and investment.

Policy Research Associates, in collaboration with partners, led the coordination and implementation of strategic planning for crisis response with the Shreveport, Louisiana Police Department (SPD). The strategic planning session occurred across two virtual sessions, during which the SPD and their criminal justice and behavioral health/disability service provider partners participated in a modified Sequential Intercept Model Mapping (intercepts 0-2) to identify their current system for crisis response and any gaps/barriers to that system that might be improved upon.

Invited Session plenary speaker to the 2021 Virtual Mat-Su Reentry Summit. The emphasis of the summit was on building strong community partnerships and programs to enhance successful reentry and achieve recidivism reduction. My 75-minute session was titled, "Mental health and criminal justice."

Harvey, Illinois Police Department, requested training and technical assistance for the planning and development of a diversion program that would include diverting sex workers into treatment and services. The city of Harvey, Illinois, has seen an increase in sex trafficking, drug use, and sales.
