Between July 1 and December 31, 2024, the TTA team delivered first responder training and resources to approximately 100 attendees. The training focused on wandering and drowning prevention awareness and strategies, as well as promising practices to support Autism-informed de-escalation during field interactions. Additionally, attendees received information on locative technology to enhance safety and response efforts. Further details about the training content and resources provided are available upon request.

Consulted with the Mansfield Police Department to discuss standardized creation and field support resources for the creation of Autism focused specialty units.

Judge Diane Cabrera requested TTA for the Lower Elwha S'klallam Tribe (FY20 CTAS - Purpose Area 3 grantee) in February 2024. Wellness Court Specialist Kristina Pacheco set up an initial meeting on March 11, 2024, which resulted in a request for onsite TTA for training of new team members and THWC coordinator, particularly on the Tribal Key Components, team building, culture and language in court proceedings, and a new approach in blending with their Family Healing to Wellness Court.

This reporting period a Sister Court visit occurred: Sister Court Salt River Pima visited Mentor Court New Mexico Urban Native American Healing to Wellness Court, and a visit by Sister Court Cher-Ae Heights Community of the Trinidad Rancheria at New Mexico Urban continues to be planned.

Cher-Ae Heights Indian Community of the Trinidad Rancheria is a FY22 grantee. TTA for Trinidad continued this reporting period: sharing of cultural assessment tools included one from Blackfeet Nation and one from Thunderbird Partnership; and with Sister Court interest to be paired Mentor Court NM Urban Healing to Wellness Court, planning continued to arrange a virtual and in-person site visit. TTA will continue next reporting period.

IL reached out asking a few questions regarding subaward approval from: one pertaining to budget and the other pertaining to responding to the newest. We were able to offer them the support they needed by answering their questions.

The NRTAC team helped facilitate a peer-to-peer engagement between the Jackson, (MS) Police Department (JPD) and the Chattanooga (TN) Police Department (CPD) CGICs, during which CPD gave JPD an all-encompassing site tour. The purpose of the site visit was to give the JPD CGIC an in-depth understanding of the strategies and resources implemented by the CPD CGIC to effectively employ the CGIC model and procedures to improve clearance rates.

ATF hosted an in person meeting with the local Northern California NIBIN sites. The purpose of this meeting was to bring these agencies together to highlight the importance of NIBIN, NESS, and eTrace. The meeting was attended by lab personnel, evidence technicians, investigators, and law enforcement executives. The BJA, alongside the NRTAC team was invited to attend to discuss available TTA to CGIC sites in the region. The BJA and the NRTAC team also used this opportunity to make in-person site visits to some of the local CGIC grantee sites in California.
