On January 8, 2025, BJA and the SLATT team hosted an advisory board meeting. The meeting began with opening comments from the BJA senior policy advisor followed by SLATT Program updates and a roundtable discussion.

The SLATT monthly partner meeting was held on January 9, 2025. SLATT partner meetings are convened to discuss current initiatives and progress toward completing SLATT tasks.

During the month of January 2025, 142 new SLATT user accounts were created. Of the new accounts, 86 were approved as SLATT direct accounts, 45 were created via Regional Information Sharing Systems program credentials, and 11 were created via FBI, Law Enforcement Enterprise Portal, program credentials.

The SLATT team addressed approximately 40 inquiries received from users submitting questions or requests using the “Contact Us” button on the slatt.org website. Inquiries related to SLATT training, resources, webinars, publications, login issues, website access, and general questions.

Due to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center - RVCRI partnership, Sgt. Avery Cowardin was able to attend the May 2025 DHS Leadership Academy, which is a two-week long leadership course for individuals in a command authority position or could assume command authority. The training includes segments on leadership challenges, adaptive leadership, leading through a crisis, navigating the seven c's of leadership, wellness in law enforcement, servant leadership, and a capstone group project.
