Legal Concerns for Digital Evidence Responders provides a legal background for first responders and investigators who encounter or work with digital evidence. Topics include Fourth Amendment concerns, the importance of getting digital devices into the hands of a forensics expert, recent case law, and practical advice on obtaining and executing search warrants. The modules function as companions to NW3C’s computer crimes classes and may be required as online prerequisites for either instructor-led or online training.

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Oklahoma is comprised of 11 counties, including Tulsa, and 13 federally-recognized Indian tribes.
The USAO is committed to assisting state, local, rural, and tribal law enforcement agencies reduce crime, increase public safety, and officer safety and well-being.
Goals include providing resources and tools necessary to foster collaboration, communication, and to ensure that law enforcement are better able to serve the community.

This session will review information on how the best practices statement was formed, its core principles and recommendations on operational practice, and provide an update on developments in laws, policy, and practice that have occurred since its release. Representatives from both the corrections and medical communities will share their unique experiences in this area and lead a discussion on the challenges of implementing policies and practices related to the non-use of restraints with this small but significant subset of incarcerated women.

The City of Las Vegas Municipal Court Pretrial Services Unit is seeking training and technical assistance on the use and research of evidence based practices within its pretrial processes. The primary focus of this request is in regards to the implementation and interim use of the PSA-Court risk assessment tool for making Municipal Court pretrial release decisions. It is also our intention to develop and simultaneously conduct our own research and evidence-based data collection, to later be used in the formation of a locally validated version of this assessment tool.

BJA requests that Mr. Stewart Bruce speak at the 2015 International Association for Crime Analysts (IACA) Conference . The conference is scheduled for September 22, 2015, in Denver, Colorado. Mr. Bruce will discuss data sharing to improve local crime analysis.
