The Alaska Department of Corrections (DOC) requested technical assistance with the identification and implementation of nationally-recognized policies, practices, and procedures to reform and improve upon existing agency approaches to solitary confinement. BJA NTTAC is currently still identifying potential TA providers to fulfill this request, which will be transferred to the Option Year 1 (OY1) contract.
The Alaska DOC is working towards solitary confinement reform initiatives that more in sync with national best practices standards.
