January TTA activities included:
- Email exchange - Vera shared a template/example document with reform outcome measures that we suggested they think about tracking.
- In preparation for our phone call, Vera sent a template/example implementation plan, showing how the recommendations from our report could be grouped into "buckets" and then put into an implementation plan.
- Vera had a phone call meeting, where we received updates on NCDPS leadership changes and on their reforms, and discussed the implementation plan template, how to work on an implementation plan, outcome measures, and next steps.

February TTA activities included:
- Email exchange about our next phone call meeting.
- Email exchange to reschedule our planned phone call to a time when Karen Pardue (NCDPS's new point person on restrictive housing reform) could attend.
- Meeting via phone call - Vera was introduced to Karen Pardue, received updates on how their reform efforts were going (including the RDU step-down program and the Therapeutic Diversion Units), discussed how they were prioritizing the tasks ahead, talked about their revised disciplinary policy which will be rolled-out this year, and discussed ways Vera could support them in the coming months.

March TTA activities included:
- Email to NCDPS to introduce Angela Browne, the new Vera site lead for NC.
- Email exchange to set up a meeting via phone, the first which Angela would attend.
- Phone call with NCDPS about the possibility and timing of publicly releasing Vera's report to NCDPS.

April TTA activities included:
- Email exchange about NCDPS's plans to publicly release our report to them. Vera provided a template/sample press release to them.
- Call to introduce Vera’s new site lead, Angela Browne, to the NC team. NCDPS updated Vera on their reforms and progress, and we talked about next steps in the partnership.
- Email from NCDPS included the final draft of their revised disciplinary policy and a list of the trainings they have been giving to staff at certain facilities of interest.
- Email exchange about potential dates and itineraries for our next site visit (in May).
- Call to discuss the status of NC's database of recommendations, data tracking and outcomes, and who has been involved in setting priorities and tasks related to the recommendations.
- Email to NC with a shortened, simplified list of basic outcome measures for them to track and report.
- Email exchange regarding dates, times, itinerary, and logistics for Vera’s upcoming site visit (May 1-4).
