Chesterfield County/City of Colonial Heights Community Corrections Services and its county partners are requesting technical assistance for a community mapping project. The purpose of the project is to develop maps which show where clients of specific county agencies reside, and specifically those clients who receive services from multiple county agencies (i.e.: on community corrections services and receiving public assistance and mental health services). A multi-agency county team has been assembled, led by the Director of Community Corrections Services, with the first meeting scheduled for October 7, 2016. The meeting will allow the various agencies to discuss what resources they have for the project and to begin the initial discussions of what we should be considering for the project. The project will tie into work being done by the county in regards to its Community on the Future, the Board of Supervisors Strategic Plan for the county, and other county initiatives addressing poverty, substandard housing, quality of life.
