Audit oversight, conducted by the PRC at PMO's direction, repeatedly reveals that auditors have significant misunderstandings of the standards related to the education of confined people, reporting options for sexual abuse and harassment, and the provision of emotional support services to confined people. Auditors are often referred to remediation based, in part, on the challenges they face in auditing these standards. Noting a gap in the available resources to provide to auditors in remediation, PRC staff developed a skills and practice-based online learning module that provides extensive training on how to audit standards 115.33, 115.51, and 115.53. It is expected that the module will be fully available to auditors in remediation beginning in the next cycle.
