Colmena Collective will work with and support LISC Safety & Justice Training and Technical Assistance efforts by providing direct administrative and organizational capacity building guidance to grantees of the Community Violence Intervention and Prevention (CVIPI) Capacity Building project. Work will include engaging grantees in bi-weekly support calls, assist in developing internal policies and procedures, developing templated documents such as timesheets, and gathering financial documents such as 990s and other tax documents.
1. Bi-weekly Support Calls (20 total over five months). Colmena will host calls with two low-capacity community-based organizations (CBO) taking part in the CVIPI Capacity Building grant initiative to check-in on technical assistance milestone achievements and provide capacity building guidance.
2. Internal Policy and Procedure Development. Colmena will provide guidance and support to two CBOs tasked with developing internal policy and procedures related to pay practices, fiscal management, timekeeping, accounting & auditing, and personnel.
3. Developing Templated Documents. Colmena will provide guidance and support to two CBOs tasked with developing templated supportive/backup documentation to track organizational and administrative work related to their CVIPI Capacity Building grant.
4. Obtaining Financial Statements. Colmena will work with both CBOs to develop a sustainable internal structure for obtaining and tracking financial statements, 990 statements, and ledger of accounts.
