The Scientific Working Group on Digital Evidence (SWGDE) brings together organizations actively engaged in digital and multimedia evidence to foster communication and cooperation and ensure quality and consistency within the forensic community. I am requesting travel costs to be covered so I am able to attend the September 18-21, 2023 meeting/conference of SWGDE in Medford, MA. Travel costs include airfare and baggage, hotel accommodations, rental car transportation, and food per diem.
I am the founding criminal investigator of the Denver District Attorney's Office Digital Crimes Unit. As a subject matter expert in digital forensics and the lead investigator for all crimes that utilize digital devices and communications, it is critical that I stay up-to-date on emerging industry technology, best practices, and trends. Resources available to me in this role are limited, so attending the Scientific Working Group on Digital Evidence (SWGDE) would be greatly beneficial to ensure I am maintaining a strong understanding of the field.
