Request on-site training covering the following areas: Recognition of the unique challenges supervisors face; The ability to develop, deliver, and provide appropriate feedback to subordinates, peers, and supervisors; The ability to receive, analyze, and properly act upon feedback that they have been given; Information on recognizing and developing a response to unrealistic expectations; Agency and Leadership missions (the why) and training on how to express these to subordinates; Team building and leadership; Methods for learning the strengths, weaknesses, and passions of team members; Handling the transition from being a peer to being a supervisor; Proper delegation techniques and skills.

Law enforcement supervisors are consistently challenged by the expectations, pressures, and demands from both subordinates and their leadership. The peer pressures from others in leadership positions complicate their ability to lead successfully even more. Training on how to recognize these unique challenges and develop solutions is needed.
