Join the Bureau of Justice Assistance Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Abuse Program (COSSAP) for their webinar "A Path to Recovery—The Story of a Peer Support Specialist" on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. ET. This webinar will feature a peer support specialist who will share her experiences with addiction, overdose, and path to recovery. The meeting host will also discuss addiction as it relates to the brain, as well as substance use disorder as a disease rather than a choice. The discussion will also focus on the negative effects of stigma from professionals on those in the recovery process.
