The Bureau of Justice Assistance is seeking applications for its FY 2020 Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Program, which supports eligible states, local units of government, and tribal governments in addressing and tackling coronavirus-related matters.

The following list includes examples of things the program funding will cover:

  • Overtime costs.
  • Equipment (including law enforcement and medical personal protective equipment).
  • Hiring costs.
  • Supplies such as gloves, masks, and sanitizer.
  • Training costs.
  • Inmate medical needs in state, local, and tribal prisons, jails, and detention centers.
  • Travel expenses.

Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. ET on May 29, 2020.
