The Bureau of Justice Assistance is seeking applications for its Fiscal Year 2020 Upholding the Rule of Law and Preventing Wrongful Convictions (ROL/WCR) Program. To prioritize the integrity of the criminal justice system, the ROL/WCR program will support entities in reviewing wrongful conviction cases for individuals they represent who claim their innocence. To ensure this integrity is maintained, individuals working under the ROL/WCR program will strategically review each post-conviction and appeals claim, identify and capture the actual criminal if possible, assess any systemic issues that jeopardize the rule of law, and propose solutions.
Applications for the ROL/WCR Program must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. ET on April 13, 2020.
