The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office requested assistance in training their deputies and correction officers to identify persons with a mental disorder, appropriately and safely respond to individuals with mental disorders, to educate them in crisis de-escalation techniques and also inform them about resources that are available in the community for individuals with a mental disorder. BJA NTTAC Denied this request.
