Effective Strategies to Investigate and Prosecute Labor Trafficking in the United States

This two-and-a-half-day training—funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance and sponsored by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and AEquitas—will educate participants on how to identify victims of labor trafficking, as well as share best practices for investigating and prosecuting labor trafficking crimes.

The three tenets of the conference are training, networking, and exhibit hall education. IACP 2019 spans four days of education and networking.

Each year, the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) hosts an Annual Conference and Exposition bringing together thousands of federal, state, county, local, and tribal law enforcement professionals to provide the latest strategies and solutions to better serve and protect. This webinar will discuss a new toolkit of resources to enable law enforcement officers to identify and respond to children exposed to violence and potentially traumatic events. The new toolkit, "Enhancing Police Responses to Children Exposed to Violence: A Toolkit for Law Enforcement," launches on April 4, 2017 and will be available in electronic and hardcopy. 

The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Excellence in Law Enforcement Research Award recognizes law enforcement agencies that demonstrate excellence in conducting and using research to improve police operations and public safety. This award program promotes the establishment of effective research, especially partnerships among law enforcement agencies and researchers.
