Grant Funding

The Office of Justice Programs (OJP) awarded more than $47 million in grant funding to investigate and prosecute human trafficking; support experienced providers in offering victim services; and strengthen community response to the sexual exploitation and forced labor of victims.

The grants were awarded under nine OJP fiscal year 2017 programs, including:

Nearly 100 Americans die each day because of the nationwide opioid epidemic. To draw renewed attention to this devastating issue that is affecting many individuals, families, and communities across the country, President Donald Trump proclaimed last week, September 17 – 23, 2017, as Prescription Opioid and Heroin Epidemic Awareness Week.

FY2017 National TTA Initiative to Improve Police-Based Responses to People with Mental Health Disorders Applicant Webinar

The purpose of this webinar is to provide a review of the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) solicitation "Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 National Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Initiative to Improve Police-Based Responses to People with Mental Health Disorders and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities" for potential applicants. 

All applications are due by 11:59 p.m. ET on August 22, 2017. All applicants should register with Grants.gov prior to submitting an application.

BJA Solicitation Webinar - Sentinel Events Initiative Demonstration Project

This Bureau of Justice Assistance webinar will provide an overview of the fiscal year 2017 Sentinel Events Initiative Demonstration Project solicitation, which seeks applications for a technical assistance provider to support the development, implementation, and process evaluation of sentinel event reviews in 20-25 demonstration sites nationwide.
