Webinar: “Ashanti Alert Act Pilot Project”

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) will be hosting a webinar on the Ashanti Alert Act, a national notification system for individuals between the ages of 18 and 64.  As a state leader and coordinator in your state, BJA is asking that you participate in this webinar to discuss the possibility of your state becoming a pilot project state.

Webinar – BJA’s STOP School Violence Program FY 2020 Solicitation

BJA’s STOP School Violence Grant Program is designed to improve school security by providing students and teachers with the tools they need to recognize, respond quickly to, and help prevent acts of violence. This live webinar is available for interested applicants to ask questions about the solicitation.

The Bureau of Justice Assistance is seeking applications for its FY 2020 Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Program, which supports eligible states, local units of government, and tribal governments in addressing and tackling coronavirus-related matters.

Since SPI began in 2009, BJA has funded more than 50 SPI projects to test and evaluate evidence-based policing tactics and strategies.

On May 10, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET, the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) Smart Policing Initiative (SPI) will present a webinar on “New Findings in SPI.” Since SPI began in 2009, more than 50 SPI projects have been funded to test and evaluate evidence-based policing tactics and strategies. This webinar will feature four SPI sites—Boston, Massachusetts; Cambridge, Massachusetts; Los Angeles, California; and Rochester, New York—that recently completed their evaluation research.
