Don’t forget to register for the Collaborative Approaches to Justice Information Sharing among Tribal, State, and Local Justice Agencies webinar, which will take place on Tuesday, September 24, at 3 p.m. EST. This webinar is part of the State & Tribal Collaboration Webinar Series which is funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance and jointly hosted by the National Criminal Justice Association and the National Congress of American Indians. During the webinar, tribal law enforcement officials will discuss collaborative approaches to justice information sharing that recognize tribal sovereignty and traditions while providing safety to all citizens. Participants will hear from Regional Information Sharing System representatives and learn how jurisdictions across the country are developing methods of sharing information related to the management of sex offenders, homeland security, and child welfare issues. Speakers for the webinar include Lieutenant James Hendrickson, Citizen Potawatomi Nation Police Department; Assistant Chief of Police Karl Auerbach, Salt River Police Department (Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community); and Jeff Pierce, Deputy Director Rocky Mountain Information Network.
